The design of the entire iPhone 17 series revealed

According to newly leaked computer-aided design (CAD) renderings, three iPhone 17 models will feature a rectangular camera module, reminiscent of the Google Pixel 9.

On the night of February 24, leaker Majin Bu posted an image showcasing renders based on leaked CAD files of the new iPhone generation, including the iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max.

Interestingly, the Pro and Pro Max versions appear to have a dual-tone rear design. Based on the available information, this design is somewhat similar to the OPPO Find X6 Pro and X7 Ultra, featuring a back panel made of two different materials.

Google’s early Pixel models also adopted a similar approach, with the 2017 Pixel 2 notably featuring a metal back combined with a glass window near the top section.

Another notable detail is that the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air will have completely different camera bump designs. As previously leaked, the ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air will feature a horizontally arranged camera bump for its single rear camera, resembling the 2015 Nexus 6P.

Meanwhile, the camera module will be stacked vertically to align with the iPhone 16’s design. Additionally, both the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max will have a rectangular camera bar similar to Google’s Pixel devices.

This leak aligns with concept renders of the iPhone 17 Pro shared by graphic designer Asher Dippre. If accurate, these renders provide one of the clearest looks at the iPhone 17 Pro.

The images, based on multiple rumors, suggest that the iPhone 17 Pro’s camera module will be rectangular and positioned on the upper back, similar to Google’s Pixel phones.

The camera module appears significantly larger than in some previous sketches. The lenses remain arranged in a triangular formation, while the LED flash, microphone, and LiDAR sensor have been moved to the right, forming a vertical row.
